Copyright Holder’s interpretation of “Non-commercial” in the CC BY-NC-SA license
Non-commercial use means that users may not commercialize the Kojo Learning Material or works derived from this material - as clarified in the numbered clauses below. These clauses are intended to help users determine whether or not their use of the Kojo Learning Material or works derived from this material would be permitted by the copyright holder under the “non-commercial” restriction of the above license. Note that there are additional requirements (attribution and share alike) spelled out in the license.

Direct selling is prohibited. Users may not directly sell or profit from the Kojo Learning Material or works derived from this material.

Bundling in offerings involving monetary amounts over a certain threshold (as defined later in this clause) is prohibited. Users may not bundle the Kojo Learning Material or works derived from this material - in one or more offering(s) (including but not limited to things like a project, a product, a service, or any combination thereof) where the total amount spent or received or budgeted is more than Rs. 50,000 (or equivalent in a different currency).

Determination of commercial vs. non-commercial purpose is based on the use, not the user.
Example - use by a not-for-profit entity will be considered commercial if it violates clauses 1 or 2 above, while use by a for-profit entity will be considered non-commercial if it is in conformance with clauses 1 and 2 above.
